Job description

DirecTech Labs is hiring a proven account based marketing (ABM) leader with a successful record of combining content and relationship marketing with technology to lead our marketing program. The Director is responsible for leading the development, implementation, management and measurement of targeted account-focused programs to drive sales acceleration, revenue and customer retention attainment for a fixed set of strategic accounts. This position will partner closely with the sales channel, customer experience, product, and work directly with the CEO. 


About You

● The ideal candidate has successfully leveraged ABM, especially using technology driven, personalized strategies and tactics. An energetic leader, collaborator and business driver, focused on measurable outcomes and marketing ROI Someone who can get their hands dirty and lead an agency relationship, freelancer, trainees and interns.


Your Day to Day Activities 

(Done mostly by you, and some via our agency, interns and freelancers)


●  Drive qualified sales leads

●  Develop and manage a highly targeted account-based marketing plan and process

●  Own the creation of and, curate and edit content for blogs and newsletter

●  Report regularly in a clear and consistent manner.

●  Manage company social media accounts

●  Create and manage automated email drip campaigns

●  Research the target market and identify prospects to target.

●  Manage contractors and partners who provide content, edit video and podcasts etc.


What You’ll be Doing:

● Provide strategic leadership aligning sales and marketing with focus on high value prospects and accounts, and delivering on sales and revenue goals and marketing contribution to sales.

●  Lead the daily marketing operations, including account selection, account planning governance, appropriate leverage of ABM and digital marketing technology, measurement, and budget approval

●  Advance the use of DTL technology to drive personalization and scale focused on the client journey, delivering the right marketing program and content at the right time

●  Lead a team of marketing professionals. Provide direction, feedback/coaching, manage performance and development.

●  Nimbly address the ongoing demand for opportunistic and ad hoc marketing needs of the sales teams in response to health of the pipeline.

●  Provide strategic and tactical support to the strategic account executives

●  Review and share performance metrics with a keen eye on ROI. Ensure that each marketing activity is tracked and measured. Use data and dashboards to inform future programs and investment.

●  Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including sales channel,

central marketing, finance, pricing, customer experience, and external organizations and partners


Required skills

●  Extremely detail oriented.

●  The Hubspot stack including CRM, drip emails, etc.

●  Google drive and docs, sheets, etc.

●  Superb communication skills with a proactive style.

●  Strong writing and editing skills

●  Self-sufficient and able to perform with little oversight

●  A strong growth and learning mindset

●  Planning and executing our presence at a few key conferences per year. One big one.

●  Planning and executing executive dinners (hosted by our CEO)in 3-4 cities 3X a year and

subsequent webinars.

●  Owning our website, landing pages.

●  Collaborating with Customer Experience on quarterly customer-focused newsletter and

up-selling marketing materials.


What You'll Need:


●  Four year degree required in marketing.

●  Minimum of 6 years management experience leading teams to achieve business objectives.

●  Diverse marketing background including content development, event marketing, demand

generation, public relations, culminating in recent focus on ABM, with demonstrated success in a high value customer, B2B environment. Proactive style with discipline and will to set priorities, drive decisions and get closure on recommendations and issues

●  Successfully manages multiple projects and effective at influencing across all levels.

●  Experience in marketing automation and measurement, specifically in account based marketing

●  Highly skilled at communicating, both in person and in writing; a penchant for visual

communication via dashboards and presentations very valuable in this role; adept at

communicating with executives

●  Committed leader who takes initiative without being asked; takes pride and personal ownership of team and business unit success

●  Strong content skills, both writing and editing.

●  Experience working across a complex, highly matrixed organization, including demonstrated ability to lead those outside of your direct reports

●  High energy; highly productive with strong self-starter initiative.

●  Exceptional organizational, budget, project and people management skills
